Creating MAUHAUS no6

Creating a custom tea blend for MAUHAUS was an idea brought to us by Kateri from Traveling Tea. We loved the idea since it gave us the opportunity to work with a local business and create something unique to MAUHAUS. We knew that we wanted to use catnip so that was a good place to start. Kateri invited us to her shop to experiment with different flavors for our blend. It was a really fun process.

We tried different combinations of catnip, peppermint, spearmint, basil, thyme, violet leaf, and a few other flavors. After a few different combinations were tried, we got it. It was subtle and minty and exactly what we were going for. As it was the 6th variation of tea we created, we decided that MAUHAUS no6 would be a fitting name for it. Kateri was really incredible to work with and we are so thankful to be working with her! It’s currently available at Traveling Tea on Sutton in Maplewood.
